This film was Miles Murphy's one and only venture into the NZ 48 hour Film Festival. AUTOCRANIOTOMOUS was propelled into the final round of judging courtesy of being Sir Peter Jackson's Wild Card choice. The film finished third overall in a field of over 700 entries.
